Southwest Outreach Team Western Australia (SWOT) sharing the life changing truth of Jesus Christ with the Southwest!
The South West Outreach Team (SWOT) are a team of Christians who travel by car to our south-west agricultural towns once or twice a week to encourage and pray with local believers. SWOT began some six years ago when Pastor Brian Whitehurst retired from pastoring churches and was “nudged” by God to ministry in the Great Southern. SWOT’s vision is to light a small fire in each of the south west towns and then to call upon the Holy Spirit to fan these flames into one large flame, engulfing the south west in the fire of revival. The vision is reflected in the Team’s logo.
We continue to aim to use every means to labor for revival in our nation. We pray the Lord will open the door to help call our nation to repentance and prepare a new generation to trust in the infallible Word of God. Any labor in the ministry without the support of prayer is destined for a very limited impact. Therefore, we have every reason to believe, because of your prayerful support, this ministry will continue to encourage and administer to the family of believers and save precious souls. We pray you will continue with us as we go forward in faith.
In January 2019, Pastors from within the Church of the Foursquare Gospel met to pray specifically for the SWOT ministry in 2019. There is a sense of a new season for SWOT with the passing of Brad Makin into Glory in 2018 and our plans to travel in 2019. Brian Lowndes has faithfully fulfilled the ministry needs when Margaret and I have not been able to travel to the south-west and to God, we are very grateful for him. Pastor Joe O’Donovan continues to preach in Pingelly on a monthly basis. We are exploring new avenues for outreach to the south-west in 2019 and seek, as always, your prayer covering and support. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
May 2020 Update
Dear SWOT Supporters and Friends, It has been a long time since our last SWOT report. We were in the country in August 2019 (no report from that outreach) and finally managed a trip in early January, 2020 (again, no report from that trip). How pleased we were last week to find the internal south-west border opened up after the Covid-19 isolation. We pray that this report finds you well and close to our Lord God.
We wish for these reports to reach as far as they can as your prayers for the Team and the South West of Western Australia are jealously sought. The prayers of the Saints are so very powerful and we see the results very often. If you have friends that would like a copy of the SWOT reports please send us email with their email address so we can add them to our data base. Warmest regards, love and blessings,
Geoff and Margaret Pittuck
Please be praying for: Beverly, Brookton, Bunbury. Cunderdin, Manjimup, Narrogin. Popanyinning, Williams, Wickepin, Wyalkatchem and all the towns and people around them.
